When a bill can't be read, and attaching other files
If Add Bills can't read a bill, you can still enter the usage yourself and keep the bill on the record. Every file in Measure is attached to a consumption record. There's no separate place to store documents.
Enter the usage and attach the bill
Open the activity the bill belongs to and add a consumption record. You'll need the service dates and the usage.
Save the record, then edit it and attach the bill.
When Measure asks Extract data from the bill?, choose No, attach without extracting.
Files you can attach
File type | What happens |
PDF, PNG, JPG | You can attach it as is, or have Measure read it |
CSV, XLSX | Attached only. Measure shows "Data from this type of file cannot be extracted", and you edit any details yourself. |
If a bill is stuck processing
If one bill is still processing after several minutes, send the file to your Green Project team. Some PDFs are formatted in a way that can't be read and need cleaning up first.
Can I store documents that aren't bills, like a spreadsheet of supporting data? Only by attaching them to a consumption record. Measure doesn't have a general document library.
