Nothing from Add Bills is saved until you review and import it. The review happens right after you upload, and the person who uploads the bills is the one who reviews them.
Review each bill
Each bill opens next to the details Measure read from it. Choose Show highlights to see where on the bill each value came from. Check:
Facility. Pick a different one if the match is wrong.
Activity. You'll only see activities at the chosen facility.
Service dates, usage and unit.
Then do a final check of everything in one table before you import.
Flags you might see
Message | What it means |
This bill already exists; we'll avoid creating a duplicate. | The same file is already in Measure. No new record is created. |
Bill dates fall outside your selected inventory period; data will be stored with its actual service dates. | The bill is saved with the dates on the bill. See Article 3 for bills that cover two periods. |
Bill falls within a retired date range; consumption won't count toward totals. | The activity was retired for those dates. Check that you picked the right activity. |
After you import
The last screen shows how many records were imported and how many facilities were updated. Each bill stays attached to its consumption record. Open the record from the activity to see it.
Can someone else review bills I uploaded? Auditors can review these bills after they’ve been saved. Uploads can't be passed to another person to review or approve prior to saving them in the platform.
Can I see every bill that's been uploaded in one place? Not as a single page, and Measure doesn't send notifications when bills are added. For a full list, export your data. The export has a column that links to each consumption record with a bill attached, named after the bill's file.
Tips
Matching works best when the address on the bill matches the facility address in Measure.
Bills attach to individual consumption records. There's no single page listing every uploaded bill. The client data export has a column linking to each consumption record that has a bill attached.
