What is Response Hub?
Response Hub helps you answer sustainability questionnaires faster. Upload a survey, and Response Hub will draft an answer to as many questions as it can for you. It draws on two sources:
Your Measure data: the emissions, renewable energy certificates and inventory details Measure has already calculated for your organization.
Your knowledge base: documents you've already published or submitted, like past CDP disclosures, sustainability reports, climate transition plans and policies.
How it works
Step 1: Build your knowledge base
Upload the documents you want Response Hub to learn from. Good candidates include:
Past CDP disclosures
Sustainability or ESG reports
Climate transition plans
Environmental and sustainability policies
Response Hub reads each document and works out what kind of document it is and which year it reports on. For example, a CDP disclosure filed in 2025 reports on 2024.
Tip: The more of your past disclosures you add, the more questions Response Hub can answer. If two documents disagree, Response Hub will point it out rather than quietly picking one (see Step 4).
Step 2: Upload a survey
Upload the questionnaire you need to answer. Response Hub finds each question in the file and labels it as either:
Quantitative: asks for a number, like total Scope 2 emissions
Qualitative: asks for a written response, like a description of your reduction strategy
Once you've uploaded a survey, Response Hub will attempt to draft answers to as many questions as possible. Before it begins, it works out which reporting year the survey is asking about. If the survey doesn't say, it uses your most recent completed inventory year in Measure. To control which year is used, see Response Hub Pro Tips.
Numbers about your emissions come from Measure's calculations. Written answers and anything Measure doesn't track come from your knowledge base.
Step 3: Review
Review the autogenerated question list and autofilled answers before you continue. You can add questions Response Hub missed, edit wording, remove questions you don't need or change a question's type.
Each answer shows its source and a confidence level. For any answer you can:
Edit it: change the wording or the value directly.
Regenerate it: ask for a new draft, and optionally choose which documents it should draw from.
Mark it verified: record that someone on your team has reviewed it.
Step 4: Finish and export
When you're happy with the answers, mark the survey complete and export it. The export is a spreadsheet (CSV) with four columns: Question, Answer, Source and Verified.
Good to know
Response Hub accepts PDF, Excel (.xlsx) and Markdown (.md) files, up to 50 MB each, for both surveys and knowledge base documents.
Answers only use your organization's own data and documents. Response Hub will not query any external sources to autofill answers.
