Every user sees the products your organization is set up for. Their role decides what they can change. A user with no role can look at everything but can't change anything.
Role | Who it's for | What they can do | What they can't do |
No role (view only) | Verifiers, auditors, anyone who only needs to look | View every page your organization has. Download and export existing reports. | Add or edit data. Generate or delete reports. |
Operator Manager | People on your team who enter data | Everything a view-only user can do, plus: upload bills with Add Bills, add, edit and delete consumption records by hand, attach files, and generate and delete reports. | Create or edit facilities and activities, or use bulk upload. Your Green Project team does these for you today. |
Multi Organization Admin | People who work in more than one of your organizations | Switch between organizations with the organization picker at the top right. | Doesn't add any editing rights. To enter data, the user also needs Operator Manager. |
ESG Consultant (coming soon) | Consultants who manage an inventory for you | Everything Operator Manager can do, plus: create and edit facilities and activities, bulk upload, organization preferences, and adding users to the organizations they're assigned to. | Anything in an organization they aren't assigned to. |
A user can have more than one role. Roles add up, so there's nothing to switch between. For example, someone who enters data for two of your organizations has Multi Organization Admin and Operator Manager.
Can I see Measure the way another role sees it? Not yourself. If you want to check what a role will see before you invite someone, ask your Green Project team.
Does Measure tell a verifier or approver when data is uploaded? No. Measure doesn't send notifications when data is added or changed.
Can we add our own roles, like "Data approver"? Not today. Measure only has the roles in the table above.
