You don't need to calculate a PCF for every product. Prioritise products your customer has specifically requested, your highest-volume products, products with high suspected emissions, and products you're actively working to reduce. Lower-volume or simpler products can follow later.
Once calculated, your PCF is visible to customers when they search your products in Green Project, when you link it to product documentation, or when you reference it in sustainability communications.
When you create a PCF, you decide whether to make it visible to all customers or specific ones β you can also mark it as a draft while it's in progress. Once it passes Green Project's quality checks, it becomes shareable.
As your products or processes change, create a new version of your PCF rather than changing the old one, so customers can see your improvement trajectory. A lower-carbon PCF is a genuine selling point β it builds customer trust, supports their sustainability targets, and differentiates your products in procurement decisions.
