Taking Your First Survey
Once your account is set up, you're ready to take your first survey.
Navigate to the "Surveys" tab. Your first survey will be available. You'll be reporting data for the interval you selected when setting up your account (e.g., monthly, quarterly or yearly).
You can explore or start the survey--feel free to start any section, and the data will be saved for you to continue work the next time you log in.
Survey Sections
The survey is divided into sections based on GHG Protocols' Corporate Carbon Accounting Standard. Each section will help you determine the appropriate data type to enter. In some sections, such as company-purchased travel, usage data (e.g. miles traveled) is preferred for a more accurate estimate of your carbon footprint, but our calculator can also accept expenditure data if you don't have usage data available.
Bill Uploads
If you have data, such as bills, receipts, or other files in PDF, XLSX, or CSV formats, you can upload those files along with your survey. From the category selection page, or on any survey section page, click "Upload Bills" in the top right corner. You'll be prompted to upload bills and add a description for each one.
To see which bills you've already uploaded, and whether those bills have been processed yet, click on "View Bills" from the category selection page.
