How does purchasing EAC's compare to having a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA)?

When done thoughtfully, unbundled EAC purchases can be just as effective as more complex renewable energy contracts. Some criteria could include: purchasing EACs from specific locations or facilities, matching the company’s energy use with the timing of energy generation, and targeting grids where emission reductions have the biggest impact. Multi-year contracts also can make these purchases more impactful.
